RE: 2016/17/18 Men's Basketball Recruiting
I'm all aboard. Hopefully we sign him. I'll always take my chances on kids who produce like crazy at a high level. Dropping 63 points on a really good basketball school like New Haven is impressive, no matter how big the kid is.

Watching his highlights, he's every bit as fast and quick as you'd expect. Just a blur on the court. Appears to have a very good jumper with huge range. Only thing is he doesn't seem to finish strong at the rim. The thing that makes guys like Earl Boykins and Marcus Keene elite scorers is that they can not only hit 3's, but they can finish at the rim and draw fouls. It'll be telling how he performs against bigger teams.

But he's worth the risk, in my opinion. Just like LaMonta Stone was. Even though Stone didn't work out, it doesn't mean the same will happen with Ellison. All we know is that he dominates high school games and wins state titles. That's a good start.
