you really need to drive by the site on this one...The size of the hole left is amazing. This with the new Krogers/Walgreens will really jump start the south end of Short Vine... The North end is now pretty well on its way to recovery.

I'm all for cleaning up the area, but similar to Lush and seemingly a few others on here, I'm a bit nostalgic regarding my old haunts. We went to the Nebraska basketball game the other weekend and parked across from what used to be Holy Grail. There's a new breakfast place or something in that building now and I caught myself doing a double take. That new building where the Schiel school used to be blows me away too, but not in a good way. It just seems so out of place. If the incoming students (and their parents) like it though, I supposed that's all that matters.

New owners...Buzzy has been completely out of the picture since '07.

I graduated in '10, and have been working at UC ever since, so I tend to stick out of Clifton on nights and weekends. I definitely get the nostalgia though...many nights spent in the establishments around there.

Yeah, I remember when Woody's shut down. Stepped in there once after it reopened, and never went again after discovering they covered up the pit.

Glad to see short vine getting a much needed facelift though. Really happy they're keeping most of the original buildings. That part of Clifton has been dead (aside from the Grail and Martino's when I was there) for a while now.
