you really need to drive by the site on this one...The size of the hole left is amazing. This with the new Krogers/Walgreens will really jump start the south end of Short Vine... The North end is now pretty well on its way to recovery.

Not sure if this will ever happen but when I was with Messer, there were plans in place to completely re-do the Martino's block of Short Vine. It would be a 5 story mega-retail center, and it included a Star Lanes, a 10 cinema movie theater, new facilities for Martino's and Goodfellows, as well as added retail space for new tenants. Reminded me a lot of The Crossroads at High Street near OSU's campus. This may be on hold until Stage 2 of the McMillan Redevelopment (Kroger Marketplace) is done so as to not render that area completely useless. I still cant wait to see the final designs of stage 3 (The Offices at McMillan, where the big hill/cliff is now).
