If its a military drone, as far as I know, they're essentially aviators if not officers. Meaning they know where they're flying. And if they're patrolling the US, they know they're looking at US citizens. If its a target of opportunity overseas, I don't know how much heads-up they get regarding who the target is. But if its a planned strike, they're gonna get a ton of info before hand including target data.

Actually, the CIA targets people whose identities aren't even known. The CIA has also said that "three guys doing jumping jacks" constitutes a terrorist training camp. And, of course, any military aged male that is killed by a drone is automatically considered to be a militant.

Not exactly a "ton of info."
