Once considered one of the premiere talents in Central Florida’s 2013 recruiting class, Watkins has fallen off the radar due to various injuries (MCL tear, dislocated shoulder, injured rotator cuff) he suffered during his junior season.

Although he still lacks the elite explosiveness that made him a top-15 recruit on the Sentinel’s Central Florida 2013 Super60, Watkins is definitely heading in the right direction and close to regaining his old form.

That's why I had him as one of two surprise "gets" on signing day. He messed that up with his public commit this week.

There are plenty of people that post that our recruits are terrible and this class is not good because of star ratings. If a player doesn't have multiple offers from BCS schools then he isn't talented. It just gets annoying and hard to deal with at times, so ya either end up getting ticked off or making post like the above.

Why? There is no comparing a 5.0-5.2 rating and a 5.4. You don't make living signing 5.0 players.

Very true their is a big difference in 5.0 and 5.4. You can be very competitive signing 5.4 players . You don't want that to be your whole signing class . But if your gonna sign a two star player you want him to have have that rating.
