Most successful coach we've ever had. Question is, is Carey coach just for the bowl game, or the future?

“@TheWolfpacker: NC State has confirmed that Northern Illinois coach Dave Doeren has been hired, and the press conference is Sunday.”

All break ups suck. But he's leaving serious hardware behind, so he could probably take a dump on the 50 yard line at HS on the way out and I won't complain.

any idea what the $$$ amount is at NC State? It's gotta be in the 1.2M range I bet.

What's a better job, Minnesota or NCSt? I think they're equally underwhelming. If our coaches are gonna leave at least do it for something more legit.

Hardware meaning 2 MAC Championships and a Bowl win, something Kill never did, and no NIU coach has ever done.

Didn't they just fire the coach for going 7-5, I think he could of made more holding out maybe until next year and got the Iowa job.

Ok people, it seems very obvious, dd had this offer on his mind this week. If we had lost would we be blaming him. The team was very shaky for awhile lastnite.

N.C. State by far. Only advantage Minnesota would have is that they're in a better conference. Doeren can win at N.C. State. Don't be surprised if you see them ranked in the next few years.

No way. I think it's a great move. Especially having just been to the area. Great place.

The ACC doesn't blow me away, but there is a lot more football tradition and money there. Doeren sure didn't wait long. Good for him, he earned it.

For me, the focus is who is next?

They were playing the#17 team in the country last night. DD didn't fumble a punt or muff a handoff.
