Whew. Glad it's over so we can move onto people who care.

I will say this. I'm very happy for the Big East. Maybe you end up back w/ ESPN but at least the leadership is having the balls to test the waters and see what you could end up with. Hopefully the Big East ends up with the best deal possible.

Thanks, Joey. I'm certain Aresco and Bevilacqua and the others will get the best deal they can. I also think ESPN will get some, but nowhere near all of it.

Given that Syracuse built the conference, I care a lot.

Great news. Even if ESPN offered a good deal, competition is always a good thing. We need to squeeze whatever we can out of this deal.

After a long messy breakup, I say we hit it and quit it for a few weeks before we pick anyone to settle down with.

This is what I have been waiting for. I am still predicting 15 million for all sports teams--but for what its worth, I am actually hearing numbers above that. I hope they are right.

Be careful what you wish for, you might get it. I remember the MWC being all excited when they left ESPN. The money from the Mtn Network never materialized and they were forgotten to a large extent. Now their best teams are gone and they are just another league without a lot of national exposure.

Your school was leading the charge to reject the ESPN offer last year. And the fact that the nBE is going to the open market has absolutely nothing to do with the MWC's situation.

Wanna bet we beat last year's per school offer by ESPN, even though we'll now have 14 FB teams, instead of 9?
