Moved to VA board for the other thread about Penn State.

Donations may have gone up because PSU people have rallied around the Penn State way NOW more than ever. You can hate a rival team all you want, but the fact of the matter is that PSU was everything that was right about major college athletics. Never an NCAA violation (only Stanford and PSU can claim that), one of the highest grad rates of football players in general, one of the highest grad rates of African American football players.

As every mainstream college sports writer has stated over the course of this case, the Death Penalty should not even be an issue here. This is legal matter and the guilty parties (whomever they all may be...and PSU fans DO want to know the truth!) should be prosecuted legally.

Penn State football is doing their annual charity (10 years running, i think) tomorrow. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/12510...ife-effort It's likely that tomorrow's event will also top records.

Why? Because the PSU community and PSU football community is about more than football.

It was all of them, Hokie. It was a cover up to protect the University and the football program.

I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I have multiple extended family members who are Penn Sate alumni.

I know all about the Cult of Joe and watched it since the Sixties,

Joe was the single most powerful person at Penn State.

He pretty much was Penn State.

He really had no "bosses".

It was every single one of them.

Given that your football program's leadership was integral to covering up a series of criminal acts for over a decade, why should we believe these things as anything other than easier issues for Paterno and company to lie about and cover up?

Dude. Penn St was essentially running a child rape ring. Other good things that they may do doesn't make this ok.

Hitler was a big supporter of the arts and funded a ton of charitable services for German citizens. Doesn't make him a good guy.
