Ha.. it was 100 yesterday, went to UF, you get plenty of days in Chicago that are just as hot / humid as any felt in Gainesville. We just get to enjoy winter sports too.

I like winter. Too bad we didn't have one last year. Actually, I would hate to live in a plce where there is only one or possibly 2 seasons(warm and hot or cool and cold).

I think you guys are being too optimistic. I see a full scale breakdown of society within my lifetime(sometime within the next 30 years). Once our government goes bankrupt or another recession/depression hits there will be mass protests(like you see in Greece), eventually they will become violent(like we've seen all over the world), law enforcement will respond with unnecessary force(happens every day, everywhere), this will incite the people to take up arms, eventually these protests will spread to small towns and suburbs where looting and riots break out, martial law will be declared. Now this is where it gets interesting. Either whoever is in charge uses this tool to keep power or some in the military refuse to fire on civilians. I expect what is happening in Syria to happen here..on a larger scale. Our nation will once again need the help of our European friends across the pond. Some forget that if the French (late 1700's) had the same foreign policy as Ron Paul we would be a satellite state of England. Make no mistake, the Euro will collapse, so will the world economy, so will society. You don't have to believe me and I hope I'm wrong but I would be prepared either way.

I could but miles is just a little too far. Besides, I would have to walk along and cross Rt. 59. I would prefer to get to work in one piece so you don't have to pay for my medical bills.
