But where will I go to get 1,000 farmville purple cows per day? The app addicts on there and the ones that post everything from what they ate for breakfast to when it past through their system have made fb an unbearable experience now.

It's basically the only way I know what any of my family is doing. I'm not a 'talk on the phone' person and none of them live in the same state as me.

RE: Quitting Facebook
I got on facebook for basically one reason: My two teenage daughters got on.

I do like keeping up with the doin's of my friends, family, and a couple of organizations I belong to, but yeah. Way too much fluff.

My 73 year old mother is the facebook junky, and would bury me in fluff if I let her.

RE: Quitting Facebook
Employers are looking up candidates and employees to learn about them. Everything is being indexed, archived, and able to be mined now, or later.

You never know who will dig up whatever they want, and interpret it however they want, and use it as they want to damage a person's reputation, credibility, or character. I don't need a future competitor, mother-in-law, co-worker, disgruntled employee, etc., creating a problem for me out of something I posted (in or out of context).... Why risk it.

Also- I don't need to know each time my friends, family, co-workers, or students, brush their teeth, nap, pet their dog, look out the window, or find a gray hair.... You all are right about the fluff.
