The reason I hope this and other things like it get under the skin of the folks in the CUSA is that they could have let the conference changes take place this year. The ACC, Big East, MAC and WAC were all willing to go along but CUSA wouldn't play ball. Thanks to these clowns we are all stuck playing a lame duck season. Again BB shows great leadership.

You might want to retract your statement about the Big East willing to go along with the conference changes taking place this year. The Big East is still fighting Boston College's move to the ACC, and there is talk that they won't allow BC to leave until 2006!!!
Dawg,
The Big East WAS willing to let the BC turncoats leave this YEAR but CUSA wouldn't let UofL, UC and USF leave until next year. BTW as far as the Big East holding on to BC. The Big East is just forcing BC to live up to an agreement it signed AFTER Miami announced it was leaving. The agreement calls for a stiffer penalty and a 2 year notice before leaving. BC is fighting it in court. If the Big East wants to keep the ACC from playing its conference championship and costing that conference a ton of money, it only needs to hold on to BC.
BTW I call BC turncoats because they flip flopped on the Big East. Pledged their solidarity to the Big East and jumped ship soon as the ACC called. All this after signing the new agreement and signing on to the lawsuit against the ACC. Flip floppinng on issues must be a Massachusetts thing. :D

Jim, Every big east school would go to the ACC if invited. BC was simply looking out for its own best interests. We can't have it both ways and hold BC to a higher standard than we would hold ourselves.

Coog,
Going is one thing. Signing an agreement stating that you would NOT is something totally different. If UC, UofL or USF would have signed something like that CUSA would have had EVERY right to keep them from going in 2005.

So you want money from them , is that it? Let them go and forget it. I don't give a rats ****** who goes or stays in cusa. Who cares. Any of our programs will find a place that matches our goals and abilities.
