Little Rock had a four run lead going into the bottom of the ninth when they brought in a new pitcher. That guy gives up 5 runs to lose the game. The Trojans bullpen is a real joke, except it isn't very funny.

Yes it is. I have watching the score on one of the sites, and it still hasn't showed the final. Last I saw was 6-4, and it has been in the bottom of the ninth for at least 30 minutes, so I figured it must be something bad happening being that it has taken so long. Worst pitching staff from top to bottom I've seen in a long time. I've seen them about five games, and the only pitcher that you can depend on is Chance Cleveland, and he had a rare off night last night. Go to a Trojan game, and unless Cleveland is pitching, you're going to see a parade from the bullpen to the mound from the Trojans. You're almost guaranteed to see four to six pitchers every game. The team certainly hits well enough to be near the top, but can't pitch a lick.

Where are you getting your scores Peter? That site I used is normally slow, but it was in the bottom of the ninth for at least 30 or 40 minutes at least before it gave a final. I saw your post at least 15 minutes before it gave the final.

All the pitchers need is to learn to throw knuckleballs. That way, if they can't throw more than 60 miles per hour, they can get hitters out. Or not.

I just go to the official UALR site and click on "Live Stats" where they have what is currently happening.

I haven't noticed any of our guys that really throw hard. It'll be interesting when they play at Dickey-Stephens to watch the radar gun and see just how hard they throw. No Bob Fellers or Nolan Ryans on our staff. As many pitchers as we have on the roster, you'd think that at least a couple of them would be dependable.

Might have to bring in the right fielder and center fielder, and even the third baseman. Those three normally have some of the strongest arms on a roster, along with the catcher. Of course they might not be able to get the ball over the plate, or they might already be on the pitching staff.

The last weekend they played here, he brought in the shortstop in relief in the ninth inning, and he saved the win. It seems like he was listed on the program as infielder/pitcher. Anyway it worked that day.
