RE: Kansas has to practice celebrating
Something tells me the west side might be filled with a lot of students vs Kansas.

That would be a great comment if one of their five wins wasn't against us

Kansas was much better than the record indicated last year. They should have beaten Baylor and thoroughly outplayed Baylor.

No, they weren't. They were awful. They were outscored 525-268 on the year and their average Big XII conference game ended in a 44-17 loss. The idea that they were "much better" than either an 0-9 conference record or 2-10 overall record would indicate is absolutely ludicrous. For crying out loud they finished ranked 106th in the country in total offense and 120th (dead last) in total defense. Their net yardage per game was an insane -189.59. They were horrendous.

They didn't thoroughly outplay Baylor, either. They played one good half. They were outgained by 101 yards for the game and allowed over 10 yards per pass and nearly 7 yards per rush.

Kansas was BAD last year. We watched their players and fans celebrate after they beat us like they'd won a championship. At the time, I thought it was because they were pi**ed about us being favored in the game. Now I think they were celebrating because they knew it would probably be the their last win of the year. It was; they lost 10 in a row after that.

Beating Kansas in DeKalb is a must-win for us this year.

We're the better team, and its in our house (assuming a sell out). It would be a crying shame if we don't nail another BCS pelt up in the locker room this year.

Its not a guarantee to be a sell out.

Maybe not a guarantee sell out, but it will be one of those situations where you look around and it looks packed even if it does fall short of a sellout. I just cannot foresee a scenario where it is not at least a near sell out.

Oh for the love of God.

Allright 7 lets analyze this, Kansas was 2-10. Toward the end of the year, Kansas played Baylor and made Baylor look like they did not even belong on the same field as them for 3 quarters. KU took a 24-3 lead against Baylor into the 4th quarter. And keep in mind this is a Baylor team that finished 12th in the BCS. I only said Kansas was better than their record indicated. I would say embarassing a top 12 BCS team for 3 quarters is a better team than a 2-10 record would indicate.

During the leanest of days, when Mike Mallory was DC he'd have the defense make sure they celebrated stuff like fumble recoveries in practice.

I always figured it's about keeping practice energy levels up, and endorphins and all that stuff.
