It's very unusual in this day and age for someone to be so loyal and dedicated as Mike K.
He is UT athletics and UT.
Congrats to MK!

He played baseball from 1977-78. Just 2 years or is that a typo?

Don't know the guy but looking at all the things he's had hand in, he sure brought a lot of entertainment to me.
Wonder what he's going on to. Best wishes in it.

When I was a first year student he and two other guys from the Athletic dept. was playing at heatherwoods golf course and they saw me walking to the first tee in my rocket polo and hat asked me a couple things to learn about how die hard I am about UT. He looked at me said you belong in my group come play with us. One of the funnest rounds of golf I have played in Toledo. A great guy!! Best of luck for him and his family.

I attended a few of those early (Friday?) morning informational meetings he held for fans during his tenure as acting AD and found them very worthwhile. I wish him well in retirement and thank him for his long service to athletics at UT.
