Not that I want to turn this into a "down" on U-M thing, but what struck me after watching the game with Ohio yesterday, was that Beilein kept the players with four fouls in the game. That tells me that he had no one else to put in their place. Translation: They have no depth. He only played six or seven players the whole game. With two of them seniors, and not back next year, they could be in for a relatively poor season. Anyway, Ohio has shown where Eastern needs to be, If we really want to be competitive.
UM actually returns their leader scorer, rebounder, and assists'. They also return a player who sat out the year in Horford. To this they add a three man class as well as another guard in Carlton Brunbrdige. UM is going to be loaded next year.
I would expect UM to go 9, maybe 10 deep next year. 2012-13 is shaping up to be an excellent year from a roster standpoint. Michigan has not had this depth and level of talent since the Fisher days.
:secret: Only members of this EMU forum know the secret story of next year's UofM team:
"UofM '12/'13 Hoops: A Story of Excellence and Depth".
It is not such a secret. Talk to UM fans as well as any who follow the Big Ten.
And no sooner does the 'ink of this post gets dry' (well, maybe there is no ink....), but UofM depth takes a beating and the talent level suffers esp. if Burke goes NBA.

Lesson: Don't count your chickens until at least September or October.
Lots of negativity in the comments, re Beilins system
