Always knew this was short term - makes me wonder how long UMass will be a part of the MAC.

UMass will likely want to get out of the MAC ASAP only having a 500k buyout. There is no point in being in the football conference without Temple and the alliance will likely allow them to go football only (the proposed option for Temple)

Who knows what the MAC will do with further expansion and may require UMass to resign for a larger buyout ASAP.
