Nobody is is saying we can't do the mechanics of changing the schedule, just that when they do, it's a worse schedule than the one with 14 teams. Of course all the teams will have full schedules. That is not the point. The point is that it's a schedule the MAC does not desire and was contracted not to have.

I have no problem with Temple moving on. It's a good deal for them. Fortunately for us, the BE set the market value for buying out a team leaving before the contract time allows: 4x the contracted buyout for early release, which is what they will receive from the Big 12/WVU. The question for Temple will be, how much is it worth it to them to leave for 2012? Will they want to meet that price and will the BE kick in some of that Big XII money to help? I'm guessing they will. Temple will make the money back eventually, and it will prove a benefit for them to be in the BE.

Maybe the price will be too high, and they will have to wait a year. No one knows yet.
