Kilgore won the Pan Am championship beating a guy with a Russian name who wrestled for Argentina. Beat him 7-1 and 7-1 so he had no problem winning it.

I thought Yuri was an Irish name!
The Pan American Championships are not that strong. The Cubans are the toughest competitors but they did not have a good showing.

Yuri finished 26th in the Worlds back in 2010 so he's not a top competitor.

Echoing Kilgore’s sentiments, Jones feels Dustin, is a legitimate threat to make the Olympic team bound for London. He will have some tough competition in the 96 kg/211.5 lbs. weight class, including 2011 World bronze medalist Jake Varner, but Kilgore is beginning to prove he can compete with the best.
“He’s got a great chance at the Trials,” Jones said. “Right now, as a coach, I’m feeling really good that we’re making the 96 kg the best weight class in the world, in the United States. Everybody talks about the Russian 96 kgs. Well, don’t forget about the American 96 kilos like Dustin Kilgore. I believe we’ve got an Olympic champion in that group and I think we certainly have the potential to do it.”

RE: Wrestling Ranked 13th.
Okay Lambert in 25 words or less tell me how they score the MAC wrestling tournament. Even after it's over and I have all the results, I can't figure it out (close but 0% to 10% off by team). I will make it easy for you by being more specific.
1. How many points for 1,2,3,4 and 5/6.
2. If you finish 2nd by losing the championship match do you get the same amount of points as if you finish 2nd by wrestling in the "true 2nd place match".
3. How many bonus points for a pin, forfeit, technical fall and major both in the winners bracket and consolation bracket.
4. Any other tricks??
5. Finally why do they list a specific 5th and 6th place finisher in only a few weight classes?
This is my life's quest so if anybody can help me out please do. I don't want generalities which I know I want specifics. Ditto for the NCAA tournament.

25 or less? No problem! "I have NO idea." Seriously, I've never paid that much attention to it. You know more than me if you can get it to plus or minus 10%. Sorry. The MAC and NCAA scoring should be similar with the biggest difference being how points are awarded in the AA rounds. A Google search led to:
http://www.uni.edu/ncaa-wrestling/scoring.html
Although from '97, it should help. I know the NCAA sells the rule book for under $10. Given that it is your life quest, that's pretty cheap! Wait, here's a link for a free download:

Good luck!

You failed me Lambert. I've been to all those web sites and it never quite matches up. Oh well I still should have a good 15-20 years to figure it out.

lol My parents have told me the same thing...
Contact KSU and ask for a copy of the upcoming MAC tournament's scoring. Aaron Chimenti is listed as an Assistant Director for Athletic Communications (wrestling). His e-mail address is achiment@kent.edu. I think I have seen the PSU Wrestling Club keep track of NCAA scoring. Once you figure it out, tell me!
