Hope Pitt likes Duke (I mean ACC!) officials.

This ^^^^

Some players have a knack for "being around the ball". RC seems to get lucky a lot ... Cal, Josh, Big East.

Maybe this was inevitable, maybe we were the slightly overweight, majorly drunk girl at the bar right before closing time; but at the very least, RC didn't screw it up.

I find it amusing when people completely blame or credit an AD for alignment. This is all school presidents. Even when our AD for I'm contact with the Big East it took President Nancy Zimpher to seal the deal.

Why do people think I hate Memphis? I don't. But I think it makes sense to show some love to those who helped make this possible for you - the fans - to see your school playing hoops in the BE conf. It's a dream come true for most on here, and both RC and Shirley deserve all the praise in the world for getting it done.

Miko, I think you are very right in your assessment. The truth is that no one who really knows the insider's version of events is really talking. The fact that this happened when "no one was looking" says a lot as well. My "guesses" about what happened really don't matter and for the next four months or so, I am going to say "thank you" whenever I see RC. We seem to forget the good he has done and only remember the bad statements that we can make fun of. Everytime I read the list of Ambassadors, see the south campus, go by the Finch Center, Elma Roane, or think of Big East, I will have to think of RC and his efforts. There are things about him I don't care for or appreciate, but I am not so important that I can change any of them. He has done a lot and I appreciate him for it.

I think, with RC, it boils down to the length of time he was in office and the lack of substantive improvements to the nature of the football program during much of that tenure. Compare that to the leadership enjoyed by Louisville during that time period (and before), and you (still) have a very defensible reason to be frustrated with RC's job performance.
