RE: Recruiting 2012 - The Day After
Do we have any potential recruits whose problem is CORE classes?

Could they enroll in a JUCO for one semester, earn the credits, and then grey shirt next January (sign NLI Feb. '13)?

OR could the player do likewise at EMU and become a full qualifier?

Do remember a grey shirt who does spring ball is somewhere between a true frosh and a redshirt as far as experience is concerned (he does the strength and condition and spring ball).

Also remember that a grey shirt's 5 year clock may begin in Jan. '13, but he gets a spring ball before his first football season.

He could redshirt, if desired, and still get his 4 years of play in before his clock runs out, December ' 17.

This may sound a bit trite, but recruiting is more than simply February '12.

Any players who can be gained for Feb '13 is a good thing too. And a good start for '13. ("A recruit in the hand is better than two in the bush").

I'd LOVE to have Joyner, Bowen, Hook, etc. part of the '13 class if they can't make it for '12. 03-idea (All have the talent to do well in the MAC).
