Right now the Big East should hold tight. Some new opportunities are going to present themselves for the Big East.

Any update on a new stadium for the Memphis?

While I do think Memphis would be a great addition, the school needs to show Big East that they are dedicated to the football program. At least plans for a new stadium will go a long way. If not Tulane is up.

Agree completely. A tiger fan in another thread, on the BE board, claims the plans and funds are all setup to improve their football program. We'll see.

The City of Memphis just spent several million upgrading the stadium and the surrounding area. The only thing it needs are some upgrades to the luxury boxes, the press booth, and a new jumbotron.

As for the on campus facilities, they have a brand new weight room, they've resurfaced four outdoor practice fields, they've got brand new locker rooms, and they're building a brand new indoor practice field.

The biggest upgrade was the coaching staff. New head coach Justin Fuente was the co-OC for TCU and was responsible for all of their offensive play-calling. He has put together one of the best football coaching staffs I've seen at the university in a long, long time. The team should jump from two wins last year to at least five or six this year. The Tigers should be bowl eligible by 2013 at the latest. If we catch a few breaks, we might be able to sneak in one this coming year.

Air Force would be one of the 14, IMO.

Just wait till the ACC implodes, then you will have BC, Wake Forest and you will get Syracuse back and maybe Pittsburgh.

So you have UNC, Duke, Maryland, Virginia going to the Big 10? Not sure UNC and Duke basketball fans would be able to stomach playing exciting games like the Michigan State/Illinois game last night. What was the final score? 44-43?
