Consistency is the last thing to come, and it comes with maturity (talent too). We're not good enough at cutting/screening/moving the ball to get the easier shots of the motion offense so we're dependent on the 3...when they fall (which hasn't been often), we'll look good, but otherwise...yikes. We've rebounded well for a roster that isn't all that tall and we normally defend pretty well. But when you can't score consistenly, it's really hard to win much.

I agree with a lot of what 7 wrote....Bolin has been a pleasant surprise and taken a clear step forward. He can rebound and is unselfish, perhaps too unselfish. Stian Berg has shown he can shoot and is, for now, one of our better options at guard. Christian hasn't played much and hasn't played as well as he did last year when he has been out there. Wish I knew why....

Ford is a rocket out there, but not one with any control. The Grays aren't spectacular, but I think they'll be useful rebounders and if we can get them the ball closer to the hoop so they don't have to dribble (they'll have to get stronger so they can get closer to the hoop) they could be more useful on offense. Zach Miller, if he can shoot, has a role, but he's always going to have a hard time defending and will have to distribute the ball really well and shoot well to justify any mintues.

Nader is going to be a stud; his shot selection certainly could use some work, but some of that is a product of having nobody else out there that can or is willing to shoot (Batman needs a Robin). I think he'll eventually average 20+ a game. He also hustles on D and with those long arms will block a a lot of shots. Nixon has shown a few flashes (he had that awesome dunk a couple games back) but always seems to be hurt, sadly. He hasn't taken the steps forward yet that I was hoping for. Toler and Storm will be gone next year and are what they are.

Turnovers are a huge problem, but one that can be improved with work/experience. Getting pushed around in the post is a problem, but one that can be solved by adding some beef on the frame (the Grays certainly could get bigger). A lot of the issues, I feel, NIU can get better on with work. They'll need more talent too, but I don't feel the future is hopeless.
