A thousand piece jigsaw puzzle?
This is a 32 school conference made up of CUSA, MWC, WAC, Sun Belt, and MAC schools.
The four divisions are the West, Central, South, and East.
In football, schools play each school in their division once (7 games) and then they play an 8th conference game against a seeded opponent in another division. The winners of the 2 highest seeded games play in a conference championship game.
Each year, the home teams for the 8th conference game flip across divisions. So, for example, one year the West has all the home games for the 8th game against the Central. The next year, the Central has all the home games for the 8th game against the West.
This conference gets you 24 states and schools in the metro area of many large markets: Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, San Jose, etc.
Conference travel seems reasonable for all schools. All schools would be in the conference for all sports.
I think this conference could get a pretty good TV deal. The networks that are desperate for college sports programming because they are locked out of the bigger conferences would either need to pay well for this conference or be left without programming.
