Congratulations Aaron...04-rock

It is always good to see an ETSU BUC of any sport enjoy success. Despite what some "fans" think/say. :muttering:

Congrats to Sho and the coaching staff. It's a big deal for a Tennessee kid to get drafted. It's very impressive that Calabrese and company were able to attract this caliber of talent in the programs very first recruiting class. The future is bright for Aaron and ETSU soccer.

RE: Schoenfeld picked up in MLS draft
Heard from several sources that Ronnie Westbrook also had a tryout with an NASL (Division 2) squad. It's great that these guys are getting noticed playing at a four-year-old program here at ETSU.

Montreal is really the best fit for him, I think. They're a little thin up front and the time for a big preseason move is running out, so he has a good shot at making the squad. I can't imagine what it would be like to be on the same field as a striker of Brian Ching's caliber. If Aaron turns out to be even a Chris Tierney type of career, it's a huge win for the program in terms of exposure and recruiting. He's definitely got the work ethic to make it in the big leagues, and I certainly wish him the best.

Great news and a real positive comment on the coaches, especially given how young the program is.

Not a huge shock, he wasn't playing much in preseason. He'll get picked up by an NASL team, though; most second division clubs would be over the moon to add a guy with his combination of size and skill.
