RE: Pizza Bowl to petition Big Ten for a higher pick
Somewhere I heard the Big Whatever will stick to an eight game league schedule. They were planning on going to nine. With one OOC game being set against a PAC 12 school each year, it's possible MORE games (not less) will be scheduled against MAC opponents. It's the best chance for their lesser lights to get to 6-6 and gain bowl-eligibility. Note: They aren't liable to schedule very many games versus the other NQs due to the extra payouts needed to cover the airline travel costs of those faraway schools.

I had a post on retaining the 8 game conference season.
I believe my post had a quote from the Detroit Free Press (or maybe Detroit News).

this game is rather unlikely to get a big 10 team next yr with osu being ineligible.

I am not sure more money will help....it's a "hard sell" to B10 conference members that they go to Detroit for a bowl game against a MAC opponent..I seriously doubt they care if it's MAC #1 or MAC #2...still the MAC.
