RE: Official Game Thread: @ Troy
I wonder if all-conference Sun Belt guard Will Weathers will be playing in this one? The dynamic Weathers will be a tough matchup, and I'm sure Troy will be looking for revenge.

Troy is proficient at scoring, but are sorely lacking on the defensive end. Our quality of defensive play will dictate the course of this game.

22 points and 7 assists in 35 mins of playing time. So I would say he is defiantly back. I have the feeling this will be a tough game for us to win on the road.

I don't envy anyone who has to go to Troy, Alabama for anything. Definitely a winnable game, and really for ETSU a game they should win. Even with Weathers back, it'll be an empty gym for ETSU. They'll need to throw some different looks at Troy defensively just to give them a changeup, but at the right moment, press them right out of the building.
And MAKE FREE THROWS.

RE: Official Game Thread: @ Troy
I want to see Rembert get at least 15 minutes tomorrow. With Dubose emerging as a bona fide scorer and with Jarvis showing improvements in his game, the addition of our highest recruited player could make us lethal at the wings.

Troy will likely go 10 deep tomorrow, and I'm guessing they'll try to run into the ground with an up-tempo game for the entire 40 minutes. Given that Bartow will only play 8, and that we ran out of gas in the 2nd half the first time around, this is a wise strategy on Troy's part. With Weathers' returning and the fact this game is at their place, this could easily turn out to be a "L".

I don't want to see us let down after a great win at Charlotte. We can win this game by 10 if we play 10. This is my rallying cry!

this is a huge game to set the tone for this 3 game swing. i still think this is a fragile team that continues to pull a rabbit out of the hat. thats not saying im not happy about it, but a BIG loss in this one could be a bad thing. they get thier pg back, play more players than us, at home, and they know they whipped us at the end of the last one. big loss here may turn into 3 L's quickly if the psyche gets dinged. hopefully they can be in it at the end...

As it usually the case for us, if they are hitting 3s then it could be a long night. I think if we can keep up the press and pressure like we have been, and force turnovers like last time we should be ok. A fast start out the gate never hurts either. And if that happens, let's try to keep our foot on the gas and press the whole game.

I agree this could be tougher at there place, road games always are. The win at UNC was big not just because it was a money game, but it was their first road win. The boost in confidance has to be significant and a win here could also kick off a streak of wins. But more important is to have that confidance going into the conferance games coming up, those are the ones we really want. The old coach saying " Win all your home games and half your road games will put you in the hunt for the conferance championship".
