I have to say the Ribs at the Rendezvous are the best I have ever had. I also ate at a damn fine steak house about a block from the stadium that had one of those open pits that you can cook your own steak...one of the best damn filets I ever ate.

Since you ate BBQ ribs, does that mean that you are not being true to your cultural region in the eastern part of NC? I hope you aren't becoming a BBQ Benedict Arnold.

North Carolina has some pretty damned good BBQ too, mustard BBQ sauce instead and some fantastic Brunswick stew as well.

See there we go again with the whole regional thing. Mustard-based sauce in is South Carolina.

Eastern North Carolina is whole hog. Some prefer it finely chopped; some more coursely chopped and some is pulled. Ideally, the pig is cooked over wood, charcoal works too. Gas is a last resort. The sauce is minimal, but it is vinegar based. Cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, salt.

Western North Carolina.....heathens....use a tomato based sauce. Their cole slaw is red also. They cook just the shoulders; not whole hog.

I've tasted the Eastern Carolina bbq.. It's not bad. They need to work on their hushpuppies.

And I've had a Cubbies' burger as well.

You got lucky then. When they're on, it's one of the best damn things you've put in your mouth. When they're off...blech.

I'm not saying the majority of people do that, but there are definitely a few on here that do - especially those few fans from schools that aren't currently getting any love in the media. I'm just curious on why?

Your svhool's fan would post them too if Pitt had either hot babes or BBQ03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao
