Nope. If GT doesn't win the ACC they plummet all the way to Nashville, or El Paso if the Sun Bowl picks up the Irish.

Sounds like y'all need to start filling up some more stadium seats! 'Cause we know after the automatic berth it's all about the tickets...

RE: ACC Bowl Eligibility 2011
from the bigeast end on bowl tie ins right now its looking like ND will get champs bowl, whoever wins the bigeast(gun to head i say wvu at this moment) gets acc champ in the orange. pinstripe b0wl is a lock for rutgers.belk bowl would likely take syracuse over cincy. cincy/pit and louisville are fighting for the st pete bowl, bbva compass bowl(birmingham vs sec) and liberty bowl.

i see syracuse winning at least 2 of the last four:@uconn,SOUTH FLORIDA(fri night),CINCY,@pitt and finishing anywhere from 1st(unlikely) to 4th

suppose Syracuse beats UConn, USF, AND Cincy, but loses @Pitt... is that enough to win the conference (you do hold tie-breaker with WVU!)

As it turns out there just aren't as many engineers graduated every year as there are political science majors. Shocker, I know. GT's total enrollment is still under 20K I believe. The big state schools like USC-east are approaching 60K and beyond.

I would love to see Pitt or Cuse get the BCS for the BE. Doesn't look promising but I'll continue to cheer for them as long as it is a possibility.

Winning the BCS bid should go a long way towards encouraging the BE to let you go sooner.

for syracuse to win the bigeast they would need to win out and have cincinnati lose 2(1 to su) and wvu lose 1 and rutgers lose one(unless its a 3 way tie) and louisville to lose 1 which is likely. i dont know who rutgers or wvu or loisville still has on the schedule .

Gotcha. Pitt appears to control their own destiny, but SU doesn't (2nd conf. loss to L'ville REALLY hurt).

Meanwhile, it appears that next week is de facto "ACC division championship week". Winner of VT @GT THU night wins Coastal; winner of Wake @Clemson takes Atlantic. For all intents & purposes.

Wake Forest plays - Clemson, MD and Vandy.
Miami plays - FSU, USF and BC.
NC State plays - BC, Clemson and MD.

The ACC should have 8-9 Bowl teams this year. As bad as BC and MD are, they could ensure 9 bowl teams by each losing out.

Terps fans are going to pretend next week's ND game is a bowl. After that, there's no reason to watch the last 2 games.03-weeping
