O.....I wouldn't define ECU's ride as unsuccessful if the BE doesn't pick us up. That's their loss. When they're playing on weeknights and getting lousy bowl deals the Big East won't be much different than the Alliance. All the legit football schools left and they've run out of room at a chance of building a quality football league. They should've strengthened football a LONG time ago, at the very least they could've gone beyond 8 in 2003. Now there's 8 non-football members and very little wiggle room for all sports invites. Good luck to everybody that got in, you're going to need it. That's not coming from an ECU fan only, that's coming from a LOT of sports-writers and they're not all from ESPN.

The fact of the matter is that the Big East doesn't care about any of the things we care about and that's fine. We don't fit the cultural profile and that will always our biggest hurdle in terms of the Big East. Knowing what I know now, It amazes me that VT ever got in this league. We're going to keep winning, going to bowls, filling and expanding the stadium and knocking off the big boys. While we're at it I'm going to enjoy the Alliance too.
