RE: 2012 Lineup
Well you still have time for the WAC to make some kind of move in football. What did you guys get two years to find #8? In the mean time, is there any validity to the U of Seattle rumors?

RE: 2012 Lineup
June 14 is likely when the WAC extends its next invites. The WAC will gladly push the limit on waiting for Montana, Montana State, Portland State, and Cal Poly SLO (and possibly others) before adding anyone from the Central Time Zone.

My hope is on Lamar because Montana isn't going anywhere and CA can afford another FBS school right now. I think that we at some point in Ruston are gonna have to make a move.

Where do you guys move to, though? The Sun Belt? No offense, but the only way I see C-USA picking you up is if any current C-USA members leave for the Big East or wherever.

There are some upsides to the new WAC for La Tech. Your chances to win the conference should improve while your travel expenses should decrease. You will have 2 schools in Texas and no trips to Hawaii. If Lamar joins, that would be 3 Texas schools. The old WAC did not have member schools located that close to Louisiana.

RE: 2012 Lineup
I see plenty of upside in the WAC, but only for a few years. If ECU, UCF and U of Houston get the nod we should have a shot at CUSA. I've been rooting for those three CUSA teams a lot lately.

RE: 2012 Lineup
I would prefer that Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Portland State, and Sacramento State instead of UTSA (Texas-San Antonio) and Texas State.

I just hope those schools I talked about above are candidates.
