RE: Reopening our previous debate on nuclear power
For the record, the Chairman of the NRC is a political appointee of Barack Obama who previously worked for Harry Reid.

It seems irresponsible to me for one government to make statements that will instill panic on the ground of another nation - especially in the biggest city in the word and especially if they're wrong on the facts. If Jaczko ****** this up, then I suggest he go swimming in the #4 containment pool.

Quote:"My understanding is there is no water in the spent fuel pool," he said. "I hope my information is wrong. It's a terrible tragedy for Japan."

It's one thing if GTS posts wrong information here, or if I post wrong information, or if the collection of nuclear experts that work with Greenpeace are posting crap on the internet. But, this kind of statement if just un-freaking-believable from a public official in the US.
