The heyday for MAC hoops was back in the early70's to early 80's...CMU had guys like Roundfield, Poquette and McElroy. BG had Cornelius Cash, thn Colin Irish, Joe Faine, Jenkins and Greer...Kent had Trent Grooms and Burell Mghee, Toledo had Kozelko followed by Williams, Miller, Swaney and Joplin....Miami had Aldridge and Ayers...OU had Walter Luckett..That era probably peaked in 80-81 when there was a 5 0r 6 way tie for the league title and each one of those teams were solid.
