You're not much of a MAC fan if you slam your own league very much like FCS fans do toward us. I never said the MAC was so strong that Marshall and UCF would never leave, I only said we're not weak, as you claim. The SBC and WAC have been viewed as weaker historically because of all their defections. Almost all the schools in the original WAC 16 fustercluk are gone. The SBC has lost nearly as many, and has never had a football school be voted into either of the Top 25 polls, ever. That's true weakness.

P.S., the MAC is a BSC league too. We just don't have an AQ. So you don't like MAC:AQ movement comparisons? How about when CUSA took a bad basketball school in Marshall, and UCF fresh from the Atlantic Sun, while losing good basketball schools Charlotte and St Louis who could have easily helped the conference's profile while remaining non-FB members? Or the MWC taking only the best FB schools in Boise, Fresno, and Nevada, while Utah St and NMSU sit? Or when Hawaii and BYU see football as so important that they'd go indy while putting their basketball in lower-profile leagues? Yes, NCAA tourny wins are nice, but beating a Michigan or ND at their place gets the real attention.
