and yes, when he was in limbo, dumbledore did explain to him that the part of voldemort's soul that resided in Harry, had been destroyed by Voldemort. But the reason the spell didn't kill Harry was because voldemort used harry's blood to rebuild his living body. Blood that carried Lily's sacrifice. it kept harry alive, while voldemort lived. So basically, Harry was immortal as long as voldemort lived.

Hmm interesting on the blood thing but then.... Valdemort needed Harry's blood to "resurect" himself to a human form. The "rat" guy cut Harry and put his blood into that potion while reciting the verse that got Valdemort back to a human form.
