I still think Campbell is consistently overrated going into the year, but I agree with you Camel about Rodriguez. You simply can't put those numbers up without being an excellent basketball player. He is a 6'6" PF that has almost averaged a double double for his career. If he is lazy, he is the most crafty lazy player I have ever seen, because he consistently carries Campbell is points, rebounds, and assists.

He is just a great player, and I will be glad to see him graduate.

You're damn right ETSU was lazy in that game last year. That was the period where ETSU went straight to hell for nearly a month's worth of action. Pigram couldn't have thrown the ball in the ocean had he of been standing beach side. They were constantly turning the ball over with zero chemistry to their game what so ever. Hell they didn't just lose to the desert horses but also let FGCU, Belmont, Jacksonville, and DAVID lipscomb beat them during that stretch. And very nearly lost to UNF. UNF! Upstate might have beaten them that month, I can't remember. If they didn't it was closer than it ever should have been. It was a pitiful month of ETSU basketball and there was no real way to explain. I specifically remember the Campbell fans here saying we had no chance to win the A-sun tournament...and I also specifically remember informing you guys that we by far had the most talent we just weren't showing it that month of February. And then magically Kennesaw came to town with two games left before the tournament and Pigram snapped out of it. The rest is history. I still can't explain what happened last year.

BTW.....You're arena is not one for "growth". It seats a little over three thousand people. ETSU has suited up four teams in their stay at the Atlantic Sun....And I wouldn't have taken Rodriguez on any of the four. Despite three massively underachieved years.

Now Kennesaw, I can agree with your call of a crafty lazy...but lazy none the less. It has been rare that Rodriguez put up big numbers against ETSU. I've seen him play other teams as well....and when the ball comes to him he gets a rebound and puts it back....but he never goes and gets the ball. Always waiting for it to come to him.

I personally wouldn't call him lazy...his numbers are too good for an undersized PF for me to criticize him. He may not be a guy who lays it on the line every night, but there is a lot of room in between that and lazy.
