Long time umpire and, since 2006, the MVC Umpire Supervisor and scheduler Lenny Brickens passed away Oct 30 at the all too young age of 59.

Most of you probably never heard of Lenny. I met him several times and he was as solid a human being as you would ever want to know.

Another good soul that had his life cut far too short.
