I think that let down game was Miami when no one looked good except for the defensive line. This team is mentally tougher than last years which is saying something. If you need proof of their fortitude you don't need to look any further than Thursday. On the road verses an undefeated team in front of a near capacity crowd Tony Pike goes down when the team is ahead going into the half. That scenario played out almost exactly the same way that the UConn game did last year. Last year the team imploded in the face of that adversity, Thursday they embraced it and took firm control of the game and came away with a convincing win.

I DO NOT want to go to the Dome w/o Pike...Cuse is improved this year and this game scares the crap out of me w/o our starting qb.

Heck, UofL is a rivalry game and w/o Pike I'm nervous about this one too.....

RE: Syracuse Game
This team knows it is sitting on the verge of something unimaginable. I don't think BK or the Sr's are going to let anyone play less than 110%. The defense has proven it can step up when needed but just needs to go into the start of the game with that mentality. I don't think that will be a problem now that they see Pike could go down and that explosive offense won't always be there to lean on. And as that ranking climbs Nippert will continue to be a very hostile environment.

I am sure that BK is going to remind the team that they started 6-0 in 2007. Louisville came to Nippert and won.
Both Greg Moore and Mauk had fumbles after long gains in that game. The next game they layed an egg at Pitt.
Same scenario as 2 years ago.

RE: Syracuse Game
I will be shocked if UC doesn't beat Syracuse really bad.
