RE: La Techsters
All this being said, I would love for Tech to start playing ULL, UNT and Ark State on a regular basis again. I enjoyed those games when we did play. I have a very good freind and fraternity brother who works in the ASU athletic department.

ASU is really got some great plans. These plans WHEN they are complete will make Ark State head and shoulders above alot of schools in the area.

I live twenty minutes from UNT. There plans are also going to bring them into the forefront.

I like the direction of Ark State, UNT, ULL and La Tech. I cannot speak for anyone else except ULM. My wife got her Masters Degree from ULM. They have spent alot of money on campus improvements. Mostly on the academic side, but it was needed.

If facilities were the end all, be all of athletics then SMU should be lightyears ahead of all of us. Ford stadium is very nice. All thier facilities are nice, but their programs are not.

I have read what ULL would like to do and I know what UNT is doing. I am aware of what ULM is doing(nothing). What is in the works in Jonesboro these days? Are there plans drawn up for some athletic improvements? I honestly used to think Tech had one of the worst stadiums in the system. Now in such a short time it is turning into quite a nice one and will only get better very soon.

RE: La Techsters
Since 2001 ASU has built a new football training and office complex, upgraded the sound systems for football and the Convocation Center, added video replay boards to football and basketball, added field turf to football, added seats and renovated the baseball stadium and added a party deck, built an entirely new track complex, and built a new soccer complex.

Talk is that the next round will include a basketball practice facility and possibly an indoor football practice facility but everyone is playing tight to the vest on fund-raising waiting out the economy.
