Seems like Steele really has a lot of respect for the MWC this year- in his "Power Poll" (his absolute strength rankings, not how he thinks teams will finish), he has 3 MWC teams in the top 26- BYU, Utah and TCU. For persepctive, the previous three years there have been only 2 teams from non-AQ conferences total in his preseason Power Poll top 26- TCU and Hawaii in 2007. I don't have the list in front of me, but I think the MWC has more teams in the top 26 than the BE, ACC, and PAC-10 (2 each IIRC). Of course the next MWC is all the way down in the #80 range, but he really likes the top 3 this year.
