Kustra just answered a stupid question put to him by reporters of the Idaho Statesman newspaper. "Do you still have visions of joining the MWC someday". Yes, was the answer, but he also said he wasn't going to get down on bended knee and plead for membership.
If the majority of MWC presidents asked us to join, we would take it into consideration. He said the TV contract was horrible and would not fit BSU at all. Travel was better. But BSU was very happy in the WAC and would be happy to stay where we are.
NOW, tell me, is that being a traitor to the WAC? No more than any other school in this conference. The thing that needs to happen in the WAC to make it a good home to all of us is for La Tech. to move to CUSA, NMSU, USU and Idaho to get something going, having a third of the conference rated as the worst teams in the US is disgusting. We have to win our OOC games, that means BSU to. Attendance needs to improve a lot, some schools don't adverage 15K. We are so close to overtaking the MWC in rankings, so close. Then comes this year, 80% of the conference stinks, and stinks bad. This was going to be a good year. WTF. OK, enough of my ranting, lets all just get better.

GO WAC
