Malone/Reneau to hold PC
Karl Malone's official position within the Louisiana Tech athletic department will be announced tomorrow at 3 pm CST. In addition to Malone's position, facility issues will be addressed. Bidding is currently open for a new floor in the TAC. I wouldn't be surprised to hear of more improvements tomorrow at 3. Stay tuned...

From what I've heard, his position will be something like director of basketball promotions...possibly director of athletic promotions. He's been very vocal about his desire to help the ENTIRE athletic department.

I believe his position would allow him to host recruits when they come to Ruston, but he wouldn't be able to go on the road to recruit. Personally, I'm more excited about the facility improvements that are coming down the pipe. Malone, Dooley, and Bradshaw are supposedly contacting as many former players as possible to encourage them to become more involved. Good things are happenening in Ruston...go figure...this all happens when I move to Louisville.

How many kids wouldn't love to be able to visit Karl Malone in his home? My kid is going to visit La Tech if he's of that caliber!

RE: Malone/Reneau to hold PC
Karl was just announced as the director of basketball promotions and the assistant S&C coach. He handed Reneau a $300,000.00 check to spearhead a fund to improve the TAC that will include a new floor, new locker room, and a new training and video room. Also in the project will be a Tech basketball HOF that include Karl's "personal collection".

I'll post a link when I get one.

Good job by you guys JL.

This is going to be a huge boost for recruiting.

Instead of one Paul Millsap on the team, you'll have 5 or 6.

USU, NMSU, and Nevada better be prepared to...move over.
