How the ****** did KSU let Crackron bypass us this much? We're getting outrecuirted by a team that plays in a half condemed stadium and had as bad a history as KSU. Laing needs to get off his ****** and get a name hire if we're even going to try and have a decent program. We're seeing what a super pass happy offense can due in NE Ohio weather. It's time to clean house.

I agree with the post above. Also, InTheZone, if what you said is true (about Kent players stomping on the Akron logo before the game), then I am glad Kent got whipped. I haven't been a Kent fan long (I started rooting for them when I first enrolled there). I am and was a much bigger supporter of Kent State Basketball than football, but I did root for the football team. Now, well....... Thank god the season's over. I went to every football home game from 2001-2004. Tonight, I will pray that I never made the 6 hour ride to see them play this year.
Anyway, I want to give credit to Akron. Two years ago, they went 7-5, and fired their coach. The higher-ups realized that Owens wasn't their guy, so they hired J.D. Yes, Akron sort of backed into the MAC championship game. And yes, if they lose to NIU, they won't be bowl eligible. However, they are still MAC East champs. So, congrats Zips.
you still suck

InTheZone Wrote:So you're just now figuring out you've been passed over?? You didn't get that point 6 out of the last 7 years?? You didn't realize that when we built the best on campus practice facilities in the MAC and possibly the MidWest and pulled in the #1 recruiting class in the conference?? I
You've sucked less or we're slightly better medicore team the past 6 or 7 years. And just becasue you finally got up to par practice facilities dosn't impress me. But Brookhart has been able to sell a program that offers no campus life and a stadium that's literally falling apart impresses me to hell.
Screw apathy, get angry, because this kind of ****** is far below the 2nd largest State U in Ohio in the middle of one of the nation's best recuriting grounds. We might as well honor Martin's last year, but barring a maricle season next year (which would sadly be .500 MAC) Laing needs to get off his ****** and finally get a competent head football coach.
This isn't the f'ing Ivy League. KSU needs a strong football team if our athletic department is going to be deemed succesful. I'm happy to have great baseball, track, soccer, field hockey ect, but that public at large dosn't give a rat ****** about Sears/Jacoby/Resse Cup standings. Football can be a great showcase for your university, now it's just embarassing. Take a potential student/recuirt to a game, it's going to discourage them to come here.
