I say just relax, he'll make the changes.  He isn't blind.
I don't care if we win out and go to a bowl. Joe has proven that he isn't the guy to take us to the next level beyond were he did an excellent job taking us. Maybe no one can given the crappy facilities we have and the crappy conference we play in (and contribute to being crap w/games like today).
Tell me where the next level is. If he wins out, we get a MAC west crown and a bowl bid, and possibly a MAC crown. That would appear to me to be the next logical step. He still has a chance this year. As do CMU and Toledo.

When was the last time Joe led us to a MAC championship, or the MAC championship game for that matter. If he does it this year, that would be great, but it looks like our chances get slimmer and slimmer with every game.

Winning the MAC w/four losses just shows that we are the best of a bunch of losers. And given the bowl structure, we will NEVER get a really good team to play against to show how good we are (not that this is an issue this year). Look at last year -we go to a bowl and beat Troy. Most probably think Troy is still D-IAA.

The next level is going undefeated or w/one loss several years in a row, getting an indoor practice facility, expanding the stadium, and moving to a better conference in the next round of conf shuffling - after we win the MAC several years in a row. Clearly Joe has made no movement there, as we haven't one the MAC once in his tenure.

With this team you have to look at it and say it is built for a run next year. The D will have grown up. G wolfe will be a senior. And the O will continue to be plug and play. The only thing that holds me back is that I think that we would have been better served to have our growing pains with a young QB this year than our growing pains with a junior who sucks. This QB error could hurt us for 2 seasons unless something is done.

But like i've said i'm sure joe will fix this.

Joe won't fix it, and the QB problem will not only hurt us next year if he sticks w/Horvath (and we know he will) but it will also hurt us the following two years when we have an inexperienced QB. We need to start our QBs as redshirt freshman and get a very good 3 years out of them.

I think he has. FSU and VA tech were not built up faster than NIU. So why do you think we should grow faster?

Joe made an error with phil horvath, we can all agree there. He ties the hands of the OC. That is a mistake, but joe will correct that mistake this week i'm sure. And then we still have a chance at the MACC. We take steps, the MAC title, then we can start talking undefeated.

Think about it, if britt or dan take over these last few games and lead us to a mac crown, what stops next year from being the best team we have ever had? A grown up D, we will possibly have javan lee back. Rice and Pruitt may have grown into starters, and i love ray smith but his overrated ****** could be replaced with someone who actually can cover every play.

I don't know. I have faith he will fix this. The QB play was awful, when he sees the film he will be able to tell that. Phil missed wideopen guys and didn't look at others, and looked too long at other times.

Phil is out of there. His technically errors have finally hurt the team and coach has a reason to bench him. There were no other games where phil's errors have really hurt us. Akron they did, but then he lead a 'comeback' loss. So you can't bench him after he is a 'hero'. I have faith.

I'd agree w/you Willy if Britt is put in next week, but I think most of us think that will not happen.

Yes, but have we lost?

You don't bench a winner. I agree with that, you just don't rock the boat. But guess what the boat is starting to sink, you can start to throw weight overboard.
