MAC softball tourney action...

Falcons upset #1 CMU 3-0 today after Miami beat CMU 1-0 yesterday. The MAC regular season champs are going home! SR Jody Johnson pitched a 2 hit shutout and BG beat Amber Puchalski, the MAC Pitcher of the Year.

Tonight, the Falcons routed Kent State 6-0 on a 5 hit shutout by Johnson. Kent is eliminated and BG moves on to face WMU tomorrow at 11 am. Firestone Stadium in Akron. WMU beat BG 3-0 in the first round. The winner will have to beat Miami twice tomorrow afternoon to win the MAC Tourney...Miami hasn't lost yet in the round robin tournament.

Not bad at all for the lowest seeded Falcons (6 outta 6 teams).

I am heading over tomorrow to hopefully see BG win 3 straight and win the title!
