We played Miss St. and they were trash talking, Logan outscored Miss St. in the first half all by himself. We won CUSA, and the Tourney,
we beat X like a rented mule.

That second round game with UCLA, who was preseason #7, was a tough game. UCLA was loaded with multiple NBA players.
Double OT heartbreak.

Ditto. That team was special and, to me, Logan's performance that year was the single most dominating/infuential of any Bearcat I've had the priviledge of watching (yes..even including Kenyon's Sr. year). Logan "controlled" games..put the team on his back..and no one could stop him. Stokes, McIlroy, Little, and Maxiell (off the bench as a freshman) all played their roles perfectly. They over-achieved and truly developed a "team chemistry" that was a joy to watch. The double OT loss to UCLA might still be the single most disappointing loss I've witnessed...and the sting/disappointment lingered for a long time. UCLA was grossly under-seeded as an 8 seed that year and had the 1 PG in America (a 6'8" kid...Bozemen I think his name was) that caused Logan problems w/ his length.

that was a great team...with a crappy ending. I know people say that about that UCLA team but really...UC was a #1 seed so whether UCLA should have been an 8, 6, 4, or even 2, UC should still have won that game.

Yeah with a Double OT game there is ample opportunity to win, not because you are a #1 seed though. All #1 do not advance to the final four.
They lose to lesser seeded teams.

Final Four team back in '91-'92 was my favorite of all time.
Kenyon's team was my #2.
This team is probably my #3.

RE: Favorite Bearcat team ever?
aside from some already mentioned, and at the risk of getting this thread really out of hand, i loved ak's team. a collection of great players that faced a pretty big obstacle.

I'm not with you on this. The only game i have been as proud of a team after a loss was the NIT loss to South Carolina in Hicks's senior year. That was a UCLA team with 3 NBA players that played absolutely killer that game. On top of that they made some really flukie shots (the bank three from the corner sticks out the most). I thought the Bearcats played about as well as they could have played that day. Yea Bozeman with his size gave Logan fits, but Leonard Stokes played the game of his life. It took UCLA's absolute best effort and some breaks to beat UC in double overtime, but I thought UC was about as good as they could be that day as well. Sometimes it is about more than numbers. UC was a 1 seed, but the talent level on UCLA was probably higher. A very disappointing end to a great season, but I was incredibly proud of UC's effort and how they played that afternoon.
