adding it's FB program to the BE by 2015 when Navy joins? Just curious if Villanova made a deal or were just out voted.

I suppose the future holds that answer. If Villanova does get their FB program moved up then we may never be told that it was a trade off but considering Villanova could easily be outvoted when concerning keeping the Alliance out of the Northeast, if they did land a deal such as that I would be very impressed with Villanova's bargaining abilities.

I wonder if the deal they made was this-
Temple comes in all sports
for
Villanova allowed to upgrade AND play same place as Temple(Lincoln Financial Field).

Yeah, that would probably be enough to make Villanova's voting buddies not feel so bad about considering voting against Villanova in order to protect the northeast.

i don't see how temple and nova could share the linc, too many games for one stadium. i just dont think the eagles would be okay with it

That is a good counter point but Philadelphia is a massive football town. With Big East games happening during the week the grounds crew could maintain. If the increased cost of grounds keeping doesn't outweight the increase of funds coming in for the linc then do the Eagles even have a say in it?

That is what I would have held out for if I was Villanova but at the end of the day what are Nova's options. Leave the Big East for the A-10? Go ahead.

If Nova is added before UMass or ECU in the East- then it is a monumental mistake.

Army should be also in consideration down the road..

You aren't really taking into consideration all of the basketball only big east schools and their desires. Protecting the Northeast will be paramount to them. Temple is a quality basketball program and those basketball schools will not wanting it landing in the Alliance. In that regard they are more valuable then ECU to those basketball schools and UMass is not yet in a position of importance.
