Chappy is the only respectable ECU fan, the rest just bring the fanbase to a whole new level of low. I've been coming to this board since it was created a few months ago just to see what the latest news on conference realignment was. It got to a point where I had enough of ECU fans bashing the BE, constantly complaining why they get no respect, complaining about how they are more deserving, degrading other schools, not just BBall onlys but FBall members who have not lived up to their AQ status. Blah blah blah blah blah....yeah don't deny it because you know you have. Did you guys have a secret meeting to plan how to annoy everyone? I've had enough of "drop DePaul, USF, Rutgers, etc...they haven't amounted to anything in the BE and bring nothing to the table, we are WAY better than those schools." Just shutup, accept your fate and try again in a few years.

And why are you guys upset? The guy takes a cheap shot at the BE by saying the BE is desperate and thinks that's the end of it? When someone else comes back with a snide remark you get upset? Whats wrong? Like to dish out the insults but get mad when someone spits it back at you? Are you a bunch of junior high school girls?

On one of the threads after the BE announcement, a USM poster said congratulations and said it was time to move on-if they had been more successful they might have gotten in; you guys on the other hand shift to fifth gear with the BE belittling. Sarcastic comments about "Marketing" how the BE is "DEAD" and how they wont get any bigger TV offer than that of what ESPN asked them because...what was it? Those Conf USA teams that the BE picked up didn't help them with a big TV contract how are they going to help the BE?

When TCU announced their move to the BIG XII their fanbase said sorry it didn't work out guys, we wish you the best of luck and went on their way. Some still post in the BE board without actually insulting any institution for their "unworthiness."

ivet...the issue isn't so much that ECU or USM weren't invited, it's how ridiculous the process became as time passed. Honestly many of us didn't think it was likely for ECU to get an invite. When WVU left, that was the deal breaker for me, frankly I didn't care if we got an invite or not but you couldn't write this script if you tried.

I mean honestly taking USF, SDSU, SMU and UCF are CLEARLY nothing more than a market grab, don't kid yourself. Boise was a desperation grab for AQ points that looks pointless now. To the fans that have been snubbed that's hilarious. Over time we heard (especially from CatsClaw) about a massive TV contract coming, how the BE could raid the ACC....blah, blah, blah we heard it all. ECU's name has been dragged through the mud relentlessly by some posters on here, way before I remember seeing your first post.

I think the BE is a great basketball conference that should have just split or added Temple and Memphis.
