I think you misunderstand the differences between the "casual fan" in Kentucky and Texas. Your state has a long history of success in college basketball and the casual fan has quite a bit of interest in it. Football is king in Texas. The "casual fan" in DFW doesn't know anything about our record, or the record of any college basketball team.

North Texas is part of DFW but we are a long way away from Dallas and Ft Worth. Most of the suburbs are at least 45 minutes away, and at least 30 minutes more in heavy traffic. Even SMU and TCU, who have had more recent success, and are in the middle of Dallas and Ft Worth respectively, only average about 6k from the latest NCAA attendance report I saw (2017).

As far as what the OP said. If by "real" you mean being in the Top 4 scheduling pod, then I agree. I don't know many NT fans who think we are the conference favorite and we are probably at least one step away from being able to compete for the title.

Why would you quote me then type something that was never said by me?

Could make thing exciting. I hope Raising Cane's is still the sponsor...getting a free Chicken Tender Meal when you buy a CUSA Tourney ticket is great. Especially with a Raising Cane's with in half a block from the stadium/basketball arena
