HOWEVER, they will have to beat the team that beat the anointed "Nat'l Champ" to make the same claim UCF did. UCF will always be my Nat'l Champ this year and poor little SMU gave them a heck of a game.

I'm not saying that to diminish what UCF did. I'm just saying that the next time a 2006 or a 2009 Boise State or an Urban Meyer Utah runs the table (and it will happen every 5 to 10 years), they're going to claim a national title. That's the new reality that TPTB have to deal with.

As well they should too....
