For all of the talk about the depth of the men's BB programs in the American, the women's teams are just as deep.

The AAC may very well have (4) teams in the tournament (UConn, USF, UCF, and Houston) and perhaps another one in the NIT (Cincinnati).

Not only that, you can pretty much pencil in UConn for a berth in the national championship pretty much every year (and with the exception of last year, the title). Tennessee used to have a case, but after UConn won over 100 in a row and won four straight titles, there's no argument anymore.

The question for some time has been whether USF can take the step to get past the round of 32. They always seem to struggle against top 15 teams and hadn't beaten a top 15 team since Louisville in 2012 until demolishing OSU. I don't think we host this year without beating UConn at least once.

Outstanding game by the USF women. Congrats.
